This program is designed to help open-water swimmers increase their ability to swim distance and get faster through technique drills. Swimmers will become accustomed to a 1.2 mile distance swim (about 2,000 yards) and be able to complete the distance in the allotted time.
We will have a time trial on the first day to determine baselines for all swimmers. You may pick the distance you want to do from the following: 500, 1000, 1650*, or 2000*.
*You will only have 45 minutes on the first day, so please do not select a distance that will take you longer. For those who opt to do a shorter distance, we will be working on technique while the others finish. You will be assigned a lane based on your average 100-yard time.
We may record video of you (with your permission). Each swimmer will get one-on-one coaching during the clinic.
